Both coins are handcrafted in 18ct yellow gold, finished entirely by hand, and cast from a Victorian seal taken from a seal wheel. The seal would have originally been used to seal written letters and documents sent by post, ensuring the security of important correspondence and keeping personal matters private.
These love tokens have a beautiful design of two hearts joined together with a ribbon tied in a bow, and the words "FOR EVER" we imagine would have been used to seal letters between lovers.
Each piece in this set has been hallmarked with the full traditional UK hallmarks applied by the prestigious London Assay Office in Hatton Garden, London's famous diamond and jewellery district.
